Basketball Recap: Moses Lake Comes Up Short

Moses Lake lost against Davis back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Moses Lake Mavericks were outmatched by the Davis Pirates and fell 80-24. While losing is never fun, the Mavericks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while the Pirates are ranked fourth).

Moses Lake has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Davis, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Moses Lake has already played their next contest (against White River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Davis and Sunnyside will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Davis' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
