Baseball Recap: Cheatham County Central Comes Up Short

Cheatham County Central was the 7-3 winner over Nashville Christian when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cheatham County Central Cubs lost 15-3 to the Nashville Christian Eagles on Thursday. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lucas Hannah was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Hannah was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).

Hannah wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Clinton Canada, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Canada has posted since back in April of 2024.

Cheatham County Central's record is now 0-2. As for Nashville Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Looking ahead, Cheatham County Central is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will take on Non Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Nashville Christian, they will welcome Clinton at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
