The Eagle Mountain Knights will square off against the Bridgeport Bulls at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bridgeport took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Eagle Mountain, who comes in off a win.
Eagle Mountain is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Lake Worth a 19-0 shutout on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Karah Cardinal made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Cardinal was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Eagle Mountain let Payton Soriano and Ava Balentine run wild. Soriano scored three runs while going 2-for-3, while Balentine scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Soriano a new career-high in doubles (two). Zoe Hawthorne was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.
Eagle Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Bridgeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-3 to Decatur.
Bridgeport saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Brichetto, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. Another was Storm Marquesen, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Eagle Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-11-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Bridgeport, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
Eagle Mountain beat Bridgeport 4-1 in their previous meeting back in March. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
