Baseball Recap: Palmer Panthers vs. Chicopee Pacers
While Palmer's victory against Chicopee wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers skirted past the Pacers 8-6. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Brendan Hess made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. He also snagged a stolen base, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Anthony Elliott was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Zackary Marciniec also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Palmer's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Chicopee, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-10.
