Volleyball Recap: Western Alamance Takes a Loss

Western Alamance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Eastern Alamance Eagles. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Western Alamance started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-23.

Reese Walker paced Western Alamance's offense, picking up 16 kills. Walker got some help from Riley Walker and her 31 assists. Finally, Taliah Walker kept Western Alamance's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Western Alamance's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Eastern Alamance, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Western Alamance didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Cummings on the 2nd. Eastern Alamance has also already played their next matchup (against Williams), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
