Softball Recap: Metro Tech Takes a Loss

Metro Tech couldn't beat McClintock on Tuesday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the first inning. The Knights lost 19-9 to the Chargers. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 29-2 to the Chargers when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mariah Price was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Stephanie Hernandez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Metro Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for McClintock, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: McClintock beat Metro Tech by a score of 24-5 on Thursday.
