Softball Recap: Nooksack Valley Comes Up Short

Nooksack Valley lost against Oak Harbor back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pioneers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The matchup marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Alayna Dykstra made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Nooksack Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Oak Harbor, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Nooksack Valley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lynden at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Oak Harbor, they will venture away from home to square off against Sedro-Woolley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
