Baseball Recap: Moore County Takes a Loss

Moore County blew Cornersville out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Cornersville got their revenge. The Moore County Raiders fell just short of the Cornersville Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raiders have suffered since April 3, 2024.

Moore County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brantley Hill, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Luke Stephens also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Moore County is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Cornersville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Moore County will square off against Culleoka at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cornersville, they will face off against Eagleville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Eagleville's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Cornersville has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
