Softball Game Preview: Oroville Tigers vs. Live Oak Lions

Oroville is 0-4 against Live Oak since March of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. Oroville has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Oroville is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game last Wednesday. They lost 12-4 to Durham.

Oroville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rakia Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Live Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 13-9 to Biggs. Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wolverines since on Tuesday.

Farrah Gomez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Aleena Ramirez, who went 1-for-4 with four RBI and one triple.

Oroville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Live Oak, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
