Soccer Recap: Berea Finishes Even with Whitley County

Berea and Whitley County pushed the score to 9-1 the last time they played Whitley County, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Pirates and the Colonels finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Berea's first draw of the season.

With that draw, Berea's record moves to 2-4-1. As for Whitley County, they moved theirs to 5-4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berea will challenge Bell County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Berea will be up against Bell County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.33 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Whitley County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Casey County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
