Basketball Recap: Collinsville Comes Up Short

Collinsville lost against Edwardsville back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Collinsville Kahoks had to suffer through a 62-32 loss at the hands of the Edwardsville Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Kahoks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Tigers are ranked 57th).

Collinsville dropped their record down to 8-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Edwardsville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collinsville will face off against Waterloo at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Edwardsville, they will host Belleville West at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
