Eastern is 0-9 against Corydon Central since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Musketeers will look to defend their home field against the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Eastern took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Springs Valley by a score of 7-3. The victory continues a trend for the Musketeers in their matchups with the Blackhawks: they've now won three in a row.

Bracie Jackson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Calloway, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Corydon Central entered their tilt with Jeffersonville on Saturday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They blew past the Red Devils 16-2. Considering the Panthers have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Madison Garretson tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.
At the plate, Corydon Central let Addyson Branham and Rease Jones run wild. Branham went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Jones went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Kynlee Mader was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Corydon Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive contests.
Corydon Central pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Eastern, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
