Soccer Recap: Carroll's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Carroll was feeling good fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Mishawaka Marian on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers fell just short of the Goshen RedHawks by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Carroll were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than four goals in the three matches prior), but Goshen's defense proved too tough.

Carroll's goal came courtesy of Sam Barnard, who's now up to three this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Carroll fell to 3-1. As for Goshen, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carroll will host Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian have yet to allow a single goal through four contests this season, a streak Carroll will look to end. As for Goshen, they will welcome Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
