Baseball Recap: McGuffey Find Success

McGuffey won the last time they faced Burgettstown and things went their way on Thursday too. The Highlanders came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 5-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Highlanders.

The team relied heavily on Austin Johnson, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

McGuffey's victory bumped their record up to 10-7-1. As for Burgettstown, they moved to 11-2 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McGuffey will face off against Seton LaSalle at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Burgettstown, they will be playing at home against Fort Cherry at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
