Softball Recap: Perry-Lecompton Comes Up Short

Perry-Lecompton was the 10-7 winner over Nemaha Central when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Kaws lost 9-2 to the Thunder on Thursday. The Kaws have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Macie Corcoran made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Perry-Lecompton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Nemaha Central, the win was the fifth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Perry-Lecompton beat the Thunder by a score of 6-3 later that day.
