Baseball Game Preview: St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons vs. E.D. White Cardinals

The St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons will head out on the road to take on the E.D. White Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Thomas Aquinas is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

St. Thomas Aquinas' last matchup with Northlake Christian could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. St. Thomas Aquinas came up short against Northlake Christian, falling 9-3. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 1, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, while E.D. White put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Franklinton. Everything went E.D. White's way against Franklinton as E.D. White made off with an 8-0 victory. The Cardinals not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since February 18th.

E.D. White is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. St. Thomas Aquinas' defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

St. Thomas Aquinas was able to grind out a solid win over E.D. White in their previous matchup back in March of 2015, winning 7-3. Does St. Thomas Aquinas have another victory up their sleeve, or will E.D. White turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
