The Philo Electrics will square off against the West Muskingum Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Philo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Philo's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over John Glenn. The Electrics haven't had any issues with the Muskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Wyatt Tysinger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since April 6th. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brayden Payton was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since April 2nd. Cooper Roush was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Philo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, West Muskingum suffered their closest loss since May 20, 2025 on Tuesday. They fell just short of New Lexington by a score of 11-9.
Ashton Ansel and Grady Dollings did some serious damage despite the final result: Ansel went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double, while Dollings went 3-for-5 with two runs and one triple. West Muskingum is 6-1 when Dollings posts two or more runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ethan Loyd, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Philo now has a winning record of 9-8. As for West Muskingum, they dropped their record down to 9-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Philo was able to grind out a solid win over West Muskingum in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 9-4. Do the Electrics have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tornadoes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
