Softball Recap: Valley Center Takes a Loss

Valley Center was the 8-1 winner over Ramona when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Jaguars lost 16-2 to the Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Valley Center saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Willa Sharpe, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Sharpe has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Valley Center's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Ramona, they pushed their record up to 7-11-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Valley Center will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tri-City Christian at 3:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Ramona, they will head out to face off against Mt. Carmel at 4:00 p.m. on the 25th.
