Basketball Recap: Enumclaw Hornets vs. Timberline Blazers

Enumclaw lost against Timberline back in December of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Enumclaw Hornets fell to the Timberline Blazers 61-55. While the Hornets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blazers 20-10 in the first quarter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Timberline to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kenyon Simmons, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. Timberline is 12-4 when Simmons posts eight or more boards, but 2-7 otherwise. Damari Evans was another key player, going 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points along with six steals and five assists.

Enumclaw's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Timberline, they pushed their record up to 14-11 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Enumclaw will welcome River Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Timberline, they will head out to challenge Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matchups -- so hopefully Timberline likes a good challenge.
