Baseball Recap: Irondale Takes a Loss

Irondale extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 1-7. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stillwater Ponies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 12-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

As for Stillwater, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games.

For Stillwater's part, Leighton Egger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, M Runk was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Stillwater beat Irondale by a score of 6-0 on Wednesday.
