Baseball Recap: Stryker Takes a Loss

The Stryker Panthers came up short against the Gorham Fayette Eagles on Wednesday and fell 7-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

William Donovan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Stryker's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Gorham Fayette, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Stryker is set to challenge their familiar foe Pettisville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Gorham Fayette will face off against rival Holgate at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles are on an eight-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and the Tigers a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck.
