Horn Lake kept up with Olive Branch until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Conquistadors put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 59-39 win. The Conquistadors have beaten the Eagles the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Horn Lake's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kemauri Mack, who went 5-for-8 en route to 13 points in addition to five boards and five blocks. Thanks to that strong game, Mack now owns an excellent 45.5% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Loghan Johnson, who posted 14 points and six assists.

The victory got Olive Branch back to even at 2-2. As for Horn Lake, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, Olive Branch will host Holmes County Central at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Horn Lake, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-47 loss against Booneville on the 20th.
