Recap: Broadwater Academy Vikings vs. StoneBridge Cavaliers
The Broadwater Academy Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 45-27 bruising from StoneBridge. Broadwater Academy lost against StoneBridge in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 63-39 score last time.
Broadwater Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Logan Hickman, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Noah Pruitt, who scored two points along with eight rebounds.
Broadwater Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for StoneBridge, they pushed their record up to 4-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Broadwater Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chincoteague at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Chincoteague has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. StoneBridge will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rock Church at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. One thing working in Rock Church's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups.
