Softball Recap: Connellsville Beats Trinity for Their Third Straight Victory

Connellsville proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 21) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trinity Hillers, sneaking past 5-3. The win was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Kendal King spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Connellsville let Kaylee Roadman and Cali Leichliter run wild. Roadman went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Leichliter went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Leichliter is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Connellsville's record is now 10-3. As for Trinity, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Connellsville will square off against rival Thomas Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Trinity is set to challenge their familiar foe Bethel Park at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
