Baseball Recap: Merryville's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grand Lake, Merryville was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lake Arthur Tigers a 5-0 shutout. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Cole C. Mirante, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Josh Robinson, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
