Nipmuc Regional dropped down to 4-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Northbridge Rams, falling 28-6. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Northbridge, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.8 points on average over those games.

Joel Lachapelle had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 201 yards and two TDs, while also rushing for 69 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. Morodney Daigle was another key player, gaining 100 total yards and a touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Nipmuc Regional will square off against Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Gaels' defense has only allowed 11.1 points per game this season, so the Warriors' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Northbridge, they will challenge Millbury at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
