Softball Game Preview: Carver High School of Engineering & Science vs. Science Leadership Academy

Carver High School of Engineering & Science will venture away from home to take on Science Leadership Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science is headed into the game with an undefeated record on the line, something String Theory almost spoiled on Thursday. Carver High School of Engineering & Science beat String Theory by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 15-14.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Science Leadership Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Neumann-Goretti 13-11.

Ella Kieselowsky and Marisa Phan did most of the damage at the plate: Kieselowsky scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Phan scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Greer, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Science Leadership Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science's record is now 3-0-1. As for Science Leadership Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science might still be hurting after the 17-1 loss they got from Science Leadership Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2022.
