Softball Game Preview: Eisenhower Eagles vs. Benjamin Davis Falcons

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Eisenhower Eagles face off against Benjamin Davis Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eisenhower has four straight wins, Benjamin Davis has 15 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Eisenhower and Westfield meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. Eisenhower blew past Westfield 19-7. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Davis came up short against MacArthur on Tuesday, falling 17-1.

Benjamin Davis' loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Eisenhower, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Eisenhower took their win against Benjamin Davis when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 26-11. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eisenhower since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
