Volleyball Game Preview: St. Albans Red Dragons vs. Chapmanville Regional Tigers

After both having extra time off, the St. Albans Red Dragons and the Chapmanville Regional Tigers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Albans will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Thursday, St. Albans beat Ritchie County 2-0.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Chapmanville Regional challenged Logan on Tuesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Chapmanville Regional sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 20-25, 15-10.

Chapmanville Regional's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-9. As for St. Albans, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.

St. Albans was able to grind out a solid win over Chapmanville Regional when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Dragons since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
