Softball Recap: Raceland Comes Up Short

If Raceland was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Holy Cross on Sunday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams came up short against the Ballard Memorial Bombers on Sunday, falling 14-4.

Raceland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Davanna Grubb, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Grubb has hit this season.

Raceland's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Ballard Memorial, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Raceland will face off against Russell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ballard Memorial, they will challenge Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
