Softball Recap: Farmington Comes Up Short

Farmington lost against Fremont on April 8th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Phoenix fell 18-14 to the Silverwolves. Phoenix fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Silverwolves since on Thursday.

Brooklyn Wright led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Lola Ogzewalla was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Farmington and nudges their season record down to 9-7. As for Fremont, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Farmington will venture away from home to face off against Weber at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fremont, they will head out to take on West Jordan at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Silverwolves will need to watch out since the Jaguars have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
