Baseball Recap: Brandywine Heights Area Takes a Loss

Brandywine Heights Area lost against Wyomissing back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bullets came up short against the Spartans, falling 15-8. The Bullets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brady Lieb was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Matthew Sterner was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Brandywine Heights Area's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Wyomissing, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brandywine Heights Area will welcome Louis E. Dieruff at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wyomissing, they will host Hamburg at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Hawks have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
