Softball Recap: Warren Takes a Loss

Warren extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 12-10 in the process. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Los Altos Conquerors. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Conquerors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

As for Los Altos, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The win was familiar territory for they, who have now won three matchups in a row.

For Los Altos' part, Brianah Alejandre and Hannah Vargas did most of the damage at the plate: Alejandre went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Vargas went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits Vargas has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Isys Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Warren will challenge Beckman at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 4, the Patriots 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Los Altos, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Chino at 4:30 p.m. The Conquerors are facing the Cowboys at the right time seeing as the Cowboys are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
