Hughson and Hilmar are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Hughson Huskies will host the Hilmar Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Hughson and five for Hilmar.

Hughson fought the good fight in their overtime match against Orestimba on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 66-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Hilmar suffered their closest defeat since December 28, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Orestimba by a score of 50-48.

Hughson will have to contain Aaron Solorio as he made an impact in Hilmar's last game. He went 8 of 14 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight boards and five blocks. Solorio is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Cohen Felber was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Hilmar's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Hughson, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-17.

Hughson came up short against Hilmar in their previous matchup back in January, falling 60-48. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Solorio, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards.
