Baseball Recap: Colfax Comes Up Short

Colfax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Elmwood/Plum City Wolves. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Colfax saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Orion Nichols, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Colfax's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Elmwood/Plum City, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colfax will head out to challenge Glenwood City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elmwood/Plum City, they will square off against Boyceville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
