Cherokee faced Gloucester Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Chiefs came out on top against the Rams by a score of 4-1. For the Chiefs, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Nathan Linden was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Mason Kelleher was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Cherokee's victory bumped their record up to 20-1. As for Gloucester Catholic, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-2.

Coming up, Cherokee is taking a road trip to face off against Bridgewater-Raritan at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gloucester Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gloucester County Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
