Baseball Recap: St. Bernard Takes a Loss

St. Bernard had lost two consecutive heartbreakers to St. Paul Catholic and they left with a heavy heart again on Monday. The Saints took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Saints haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

St. Bernard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnny Lazarou, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Lazarou is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

St. Bernard's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for St. Paul Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

While St. Bernard had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
