Baseball Recap: Indianola Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Indianola Academy took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Marshall Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Colonels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Patriots on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Colonels as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Indianola Academy's record now sits at 5-12. As for Marshall Academy, they moved to 15-8 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Indianola Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against O'Bannon at 5:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Marshall Academy, they will square off against North Delta at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Green Wave will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
