Softball Recap: Cleburne County Has No Trouble Against Saks

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central of Clay County, Cleburne County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 11-3 margin over the Saks Wildcats. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Lola Shelton was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadence Brown, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Cleburne County's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Saks, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, Cleburne County and Saks will both be playing Woodland the next time they take the field. Saks will host Woodland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Cleburne County will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
