Football Game Preview: Marion Swamp Foxes vs. Manning Monarchs

The Marion Swamp Foxes will head out on the road to face off against the Manning Monarchs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Marion has struggled recently with 16 losses in a row, while Manning will arrive with three straight victories.

On Friday, Marion lost to Lake City at home by a 30-14 margin. That's two games in a row now that the Swamp Foxes have lost by exactly 16 points.

Meanwhile, Manning posted their closest win since November 22, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Atlantic Collegiate Academy, sneaking past 16-14.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Manning, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Marion suffered a grim 38-13 defeat to Manning when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Swamp Foxes were down 32-0.
