Basketball Recap: Crooked Oak Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Crooked Oak can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Holdenville Wolverines and fell 65-19. The Ruf-Nex's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it nine in a row.

Holdenville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dah'Myah Olden led the charge by dropping a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards. Olden is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Princess Oneill was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Crooked Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Holdenville, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-10.

Crooked Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holdenville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-56 loss against Morris on the 1st.
