Baseball Recap: Lincoln Lions vs. Moses Brown Quakers
Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Moses Brown Quakers. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Quakers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Lincoln saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brennan Robert, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Joey Cunha also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Moses Brown, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-12.
Coming up, Lincoln will be playing at home against Smithfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sentinels' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Moses Brown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
