Baseball Game Preview: Ithaca Yellowjackets vs. Nouvel Catholic Central Panthers

The Ithaca Yellowjackets will head out to square off against the Nouvel Catholic Central Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ithaca is looking for their season's first win.

Ithaca fell victim to Hemlock and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Huskies, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Nouvel Catholic Central was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They lost 18-0 to Hemlock. The Panthers have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Ithaca's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Nouvel Catholic Central, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Ithaca was able to grind out a solid victory over Nouvel Catholic Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 10-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
