Baseball Recap: Brady Norris and Tyler Adams Secure Win for Warren County

Warren County barely beat Cumberland County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pioneers & Lady Pioneers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Jets an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Pioneers & Lady Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Jets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Keaton Rowe looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Warren County is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-14 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Warren County let Tyler Adams and Brady Norris run wild. Adams went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Norris went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Adams is becoming a predictor of Warren County's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 8-14 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jerren Harris, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Warren County's record is now 10-15. As for Cumberland County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Warren County will take on Spring Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cumberland County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
