Basketball Game Preview: Knightstown Panthers vs. Anderson Prep Academy Jets

The Knightstown Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Anderson Prep Academy Jets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Knightstown has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 14.

Last Thursday, Knightstown came up short against Blue River Valley and fell 64-53.

Meanwhile, Anderson Prep Academy hadn't done well against Muncie Burris recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Anderson Prep Academy took their game with ease, bagging a 72-43 win over Muncie Burris. The Jets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

Anderson Prep Academy's win came from a few key players Knightstown will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lincoln Fathauer, who went 9 for 19 to rack up 24 points. Zamarion Bryant was another key player, going 8 of 12 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds.

Anderson Prep Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Muncie Burris only posted six assists.

Anderson Prep Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.1 points over those games. As for Knightstown, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.

Knightstown came out on top in a nail-biter against Anderson Prep Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 63-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Knightstown since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
