Basketball Recap: Neches Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Neches duked it out with Big Sandy on Friday. The Tigers lost to the Wildcats on the road by a 35-18 margin. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Neches' loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Big Sandy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Neches and Hull-Daisetta will face off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Big Sandy, they will face off against Centerville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
