Softball Recap: South Hills Scorpions vs. Lamar Vikings
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Joshua, South Hills was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Lamar Vikings as the South Hills Scorpions made off with a 9-0 victory. The Scorpions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.
Emily Reyes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Moriah Dean was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Natalie Ramirez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
South Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lamar only posted an OBP of .250.
South Hills' record is now 5-10-1. As for Lamar, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
South Hills didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-2 defeat against Duncanville on the 28th. As for Lamar, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 22-2 win against Pinkston on the 1st.
