Basketball Recap: Monticello's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Monticello came into Saturday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 38-31 win over the Ellenville Blue Devils on Saturday. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 77-45 victory the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2018.

Monticello's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Ellenville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Monticello Panthers duke it out with the Warwick Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Ellenville, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Millbrook at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
