Softball Preview: East Hampton Bellringers vs. Westbrook Knights
The East Hampton Bellringers are taking a road trip to square off against the Westbrook Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. East Hampton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.
East Hampton's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Portland as they made off with a 24-0 victory. The contest marked the Bellringers' most dominant win of the season so far.

Kendall Jump made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with four runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Emily Jovel was incredible, firing off two home runs, three stolen bases, and six RBI while going 5-for-5. Another player making a difference was Neha Sidana, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, five RBI, and one double.
East Hampton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .568. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Westbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 19-1 to North Branford.
