 The Mercer County Golden Eagles will head out on the road to  challenge  the East Moline United Panthers at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Mercer County is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout  on Monday, just like they did against Biggsville West Central (and have done all season long). Mercer County put the hurt on Biggsville West Central with a sharp  18-6 victory on Saturday. While fans of Mercer County might be used to big wins, the 12-run margin marked the team's biggest one yet.
 Mercer County got a  massive  performance out of  Jude Hofmann, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Kale Breeden, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, East Moline United had just enough and edged Quincy out  5-3 on Saturday. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for East Moline United.
 East Moline United saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Dominic Stottler, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Mercer County now  has a winning record of 8-7. As for East Moline United, their win was  their seventh straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-4.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Mercer County has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.3  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like East Moline United struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 7.3.
